Erika's Chinese Salad

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 pkg ramen noodles (crushed)
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 head Savoy cabbage, cut in bite-size pieces
  • Dressing:
    • 1 ½ cup oil
    • 1 cup sugar
    • cup vinegar
    • cup soy sauce

Method

  1. Melt butter and sauté noodles, sesame seeds, almonds and brown sugar. Reserve part of this mixture to top salad--mix most of mixture with cabbage.
  2. Make dressing in separate container and stir or shake until well blended. Mix with cabbage mixture immediately before serving.
