Mandarin Orange Salad

Ingredients

  • Candied Almonds
    • 4-6 Tbsp. sugar
    • cups sliced almonds
  • Dressing
    • 4 Tbsp. sugar
    • 4 Tbsp. vinegar
    • ½ cup oil
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • dash pepper
    • 2-3 drops tobasco sauce
  • Salad
    • 2 medium heads romaine, washed and torn
    • 2 cups celery
    • 4 green onions, chopped, tops and all
    • 2 medium cans mandarin oranges, drained

Method

Candied Almonds

  1. Brown the sugar. Add sliced almonds.
  2. Separate when cooled.

Dressing

Mix all ingredients and save in a jar.
